The Unyielding Emergency Physicians Are Back!
Legendary Japanese Medical Drama “Emergency Room 24 Hours” Returns After 13 Years! Yosuke Eguchi & Nanako Matsushima Reunite After 16 Years! The new season of Emergency Room 24 Hours, starring Yosuke Eguchi and Nanako Matsushima, will premiere on Monday, October 12 as its new Monday 9PM drama! Since its debut in 1999, the series has depicted doctors and nurses on the front lines of emergency medicine, confronting life-and-death situations. Over the years, it has produced five drama series and five special programs. With this sixth installment, the series sets a new record as Fuji Television’s longest-running contemporary live-action-drama series. A towering presence among Japanese medical dramas, this landmark series returns this fall. It has been approximately 13 years since the last installment, 5th Series in 2013. Moreover, this marks the long-awaited reunion of Yosuke Eguchi, who plays the brilliant and solitary emergency physician Dr. Shindo, and Nanako Matsushima, who plays Dr. Kojima—once his protégé who has saved countless lives. The two last appeared together in the 2010 special, making this their first co-starring reunion in 16 years. This will also be the first production of the Reiwa era for the series, and its first time airing in the prestigious Monday 9PM slot. Audiences can look forward to a new chapter! Now in its 27th year, one of the key highlights of the series is its portrayal of how the medical field evolves alongside the times! This new series tackles themes such as work style reform, generational differences, the growth of the next generation, and choices surrounding life itself!

A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You

Kyoko Yoshine and Kyoya Honda Reprise Their Iconic “Heart-Stealing Couple”! The Love Story Continues! Originally broadcast in April 2025 in Fuji TV’s Thursday 10 p.m. drama slot, the series quickly captured audiences far and beyond, delivering warmth, nostalgia, and emotional resonance week after week! Based on the manga “A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You” by Hachi Nishiga originally published by KODANSHA LTD., the drama is a live-action adaptation of a heartwarming romantic comedy set in Japan’s Showa era. Set in the Japanese era of Showa 11, the original story follows the newlyweds Natsumi and Takimasa, an officer in the Imperial Navy, as they navigate the awkward yet endearing early days of married life. Their shy, innocent dynamic—where even holding hands feels like a milestone—sparked widespread buzz, with the show trending on social media after every episode. Now, the heartwarming hit story, which brought warmth and fluttering romance to audiences last year, is finally making its return this October in Fuji Television’s Thursday 10 p.m. drama slot. In contrast to the refreshing spring breeze of the previous installment, this new chapter unfolds like a landscape turning golden in fall—deepening the sweetness of the time shared between the two! Set in the year Showa 12, Natsumi and Takimasa remain as endearingly innocent as ever. At the same time, having grown through the years they’ve spent together, the couple begins to reveal new sides of themselves—offering viewers another layer of enjoyment to accompany the long fall nights. Once again, this gentle and heartwarming Showa-era romantic comedy will softly embrace audiences far and beyond!

The Keeper of the Camphor Tree

The Keeper of the Camphor Tree

Reito Naoi, a young man fired unfairly from his day job, finds himself hitting rock bottom when he's arrested after a desperate attempt to get back on his feet.
With nothing left to him, he surrendered himself to fate, giving up on any hopes for the future, and lost the will to make his own choices in life.
But one day, a chance encounter threw him a lifeline that could change his fate forever.
"If you follow the client's instructions, we'll set you free..."
Appearing before him out of nowhere, a lawyer spoke to him, and he immediately accepted the offer. And thus, Chifune Yanagisawa came into his life.
A major contributor to the success of the large Yanagisawa Group corporation, she was also, apparently, his late mother's half-sister.
"I have orders for you," she claimed. Those orders were to become the Keeper of the Camphor Tree of Tsukisato Shrine.
Though bewildered by such a sudden request, Reito did as he was told, and found himself meeting with the many people patronizing the shrine:
Toshiaki Saji, a man who visits the camphor tree on a regular basis.
Toshiaki's daughter, Yumi Saji, a college student who finds her father's actions suspicious.
Soki Oba, a young man struggling with his role in taking over the family business.
As Reito interacts with them and Chifune, his formerly bleak world begins to take on new life.
――But what he had yet to discover was this: The true power that camphor tree possessed.
Eventually, Reito's days are consumed by the swirling mysteries of the camphor tree, as he is led towards an unexpected, hidden truth.
