We are thrilled to announce that Fuji Media Holdings and Fuji TV will establish a new company on April 1 by spinning off its game business unit through a simple incorporation-type separation.
Fuji&gumi Games (hereafter FgG), a joint venture between gumi Inc. and Fuji Startup Ventures to develop mixed-media online mobile games, has been the core of Fuji TV’s game business. Since its establishment, FgG has produced several popular titles including the smash “Phantom of Kill” and “For Whom the Alchemist Exists.” Moreover, its newest and much-anticipated large-scale title “Shinobi Nightmare” is soon to be released.
By establishing the new company, the group aims to further expand its business in the rapidly growing game market and to recruit creators and collaborate with third parties in a bid to enhance its capacity to compete and thrive in the global market.
