Fight! Bookstore Girl

Story

Based on original novel series “Shoten Girl” by Kei Aono, Fight! Bookstore Girl takes place at a popular bookstore named Pegasus Shobou. Although Pegasus Shodou is an established bookstore that has been in book business for many years, it’s currently facing fierce competition from internet-based companies. The protagonist of the story are two women working at Pegasus Shodou: Aki Kitamura, a 23-year-old sales clerk (Mayu Watanabe) and a 40-year-old assistant manager of the bookstore Riko Nishioka (Izumi Inamori). The two often clash due to their generation gap, differing upbringings, opposite personalities, as well as how they approach their work and romantic relationships. This story follows the journey of these two hardworking women as they grapple with ups and downs of life, both at work and in love. It's a delightful drama, full of charm, wit, and real life scenarios that all working adults of all ages and backgrounds can relate to and enjoy!
