The 39th annual Japan Academy Prize awards ceremony was held in Tokyo on March 4, 2016. Internationally acclaimed director Hirokazu Kore-eda’s lovingly-crafted family film “Our Little Sister” took home the prizes for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, as well as Best Lighting Direction. The film has also garnered Award of Excellence in 12 categories at this year’s Japan Academy, the most of any work. Congratulations to the entire cast, production team and director for this fabulous achivement!
