Tokyo, Japan–Fuji Television is proud to announce its decision to co-produce a new 10-episode drama series for distribution in the international market. The story, which is going to be set in London, is based on the international soccer business.
Co-production will go ahead with ZDF Enterprises, a 100% private subsidiary of ZDF, one of the biggest and most renowned television broadcasters in Europe. The script for the series will be written by James Payne, a famous creator from the United Kingdom. Also, production will be overseen by Boogie Entertainment, a company which has head offices both in the United Kingdom and Germany.
This will be the first time in history, that broadcasting companies from Japan and Europe will co-produce a drama series with a strategy aimed for global distribution. The production for the series has been planned for completion in 2019.
