The story begins with the arrest of a mysterious middle-aged man who drunkenly assaults a vending machine and its attendant.

Calling himself "Tagosaku Suzuki," he claims psychic powers and warns of bombs planted across Tokyo, predicting the first will explode in Akihabara, followed by three more—one every hour. As detectives press him, he dodges questions and instead issues cryptic “quizzes” about the bombs. Who is this enigmatic man, and what is the true nature of the deadly threat he foresees?
