Set in a small theater in Shibuya in 1984, this coming-of-age ensemble drama portrays the dreams, frustrations, and romances of young people chasing their place in the world.
Celebrated hitmaker Koki Mitani—who has delivered laughter and heartfelt stories to audiences across Japan—writes the script for a commercial network drama series—the coveted prime-time slot—for the first time in 25 years!
The lead role played by Masaki Suda, a one-of-a-kind actor with an impressive list of awards, recognized as one of the driving forces in Japanese film and television.
This marks his first starring role in a drama series in three and a half years, following the hit “Don’t Call it Mystery” (Fuji TV/2022).
Suda plays a young man who dreams of theatrical success.
He has ambition, but the road is far from easy. Still, he refuses to give up.
Against the vibrant backdrop of late-Showa Shibuya, the story captures the struggles, passion, frustrations, and love of youth in its rawest form.
Audiences are eager to see how Suda—an actor beloved by a new generation—will embody the spirit of a young dreamer in the late Showa period...!
The series also brings together a dream cast: Fumi Nikaido, Ryunosuke Kamiki, and Minami Hamabe.
