Set in the 11th year of the Showa era in Japan, this romantic comedy delicately portrays the bittersweet moments of a newlywed couple, who embark on their journey together from a "zero-day courtship" marriage.

The protagonist, Natsumi finds herself engaged to Takimasa, an officer in the Imperial Navy, after an unexpected marriage proposal arrives during the season of cherry blossoms.

However, on their wedding day, he is unable to attend due to work, and thus, their married life begins with the unexpected twist of the groom’s absence...?!
