Fuji Television has announced its participation in a project for resource collection Withal Multi Circular Economy, an initiative led by Withal that collects unwanted clothing and other textile items and recycles them into new resources. The initiative will commence on May 1, 2026. This marks the first time a television broadcaster has adopted the project.

The initiative will be promoted primarily by the new project for climate change and the environment, established under Fuji Television’s Sustainability Management Committee.

Going forward, Fuji TV will collect clothing and fabric goods—such as T-shirts and other items used at events—that would otherwise be discarded and recycle them into new resources. Through this effort, the company aims to reduce the environmental impact associated with its business activities.

Future Outlook

Looking ahead, the company aims to utilize regenerated fibers produced through this process to create new products and applications, such as event T-shirts and building materials for program sets.

Through this project, Fuji TV will leverage the knowledge and outcomes gained to further enhance its sustainability initiatives and communications. At the same time, the company will expand collaboration with partner companies and organizations to promote more effective environmental contributions.
