“SUSPECT X,” Fuji Television’s hit film that topped the domestic charts for 4 consecutive weeks, has made big waves in Hong Kong as well.
The film, which opened in Hong Kong on Christmas Eve on an initial 26 screens, became an instant sell-out, and climbed to the number one slot.
The immense popularity of the film in Hong Kong is partly attributed to the hit of the television series, GALILEO, which recently received an Asian Television Award in the “Best Drama Series” category.
“SUSPECT X” has grossed approximately 55 million dollars at the Japanese box-office to become the second highest-grossing live action local film of 2008.
