Fuji Television (Fuji TV) and Shanghai Media Group Pictures (SMG Pictures) announced a strategic partnership agreement aimed at co-developing five Fuji TV-produced dramas, including the hit series “Dating: What it’s like to be in love?”
Under this deal, the two companies will co-develop remake of Fuji TV drama series which would be jointly commissioned by Fuji TV and SMG Pictures for broadcast in China. The agreement also includes rights to remake the drama into a film.
Fuji TV sees this strategic partnership will help accelerate its global expansion in China and enable it to showcase its top quality dramas to Chinese viewers, especially the young audience.
