Welcoming its 45th anniversary on TV broadcasting this year, popular anime series “Sazae-san” has been recognized as the “Longest running animated TV series” in the Guinness book of world records 2014 edition. To commemorate this joyous occasion, an award ceremony was held and Ms. Midori Kato, the voice actress for main character Sazae-san received the verifying certificate. Fuji TV began broadcasting anime “Sazae-san” in 1969, and Ms. Kato has played Sazae-san’s voice ever since.
