FUJI TELEVISION’S OFFICIAL TEXTBOOK FOR “KINTAME ENGLISH” HAS BEEN RELEASED AS A PART OF THE INTERNATIONAL DEPARTMENT’S INBOUND STRATEGY – “OMOTENASHI NIPPON PROJECT.”

Since starting its “OMOTENASHI NIPPON PROJECT,” (“OMOTENASHI” which literally translates to hospitality), the International department at Fuji Television has been working on various styles of international inbound strategies, looking ahead to the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, when Odaiba, which is also the home of Fuji Television, will be at the center of the Games.

As many athletes, spectators and members of the media are expected to arrive in Tokyo for the Games, the project hopes to be able to provide a hospitality service for all the international guests, in a style which is unique to a TV station. Moreover, the project enthusiastically hopes to further induce the general awareness of the recipient country, as well as for stimulating other new international inbound strategies in the course of the future.

As a part of the project, the official textbook for “KINTAME ENGLISH” has been released via PONY CANYON INC. The incredibly popular YouTube English lesson series are based on typical situations you may experience at a TV station, with its super humorous and unfathomable English sentences, which are sure to send you into a world of entertaining English learning.

In the textbook, 59 incredible sentences by Nakayama, the famous author of the hugely popular series “Shiken Ni Denai Eitango” (literal meaning: English which you wouldn’t get in exams) are included. Also as well, comical commentaries are an exciting part of the new book. Moreover, you can scan the QR code at the bottom of each page for the sentences, which links to the official YouTube “Kintame English” video page.

Why not watch and experience the exciting world of “KINTAME ENGLISH” all over again on a train or a bus! As an added bonus, special behind the scene filming footages of the Japanese comedian, Nagano, has also been included, along with some special ‘Phonics’ lessons, where he tries to elegantly master the art of English pronunciation.
