Fuji Television Launches Global Edutainment Project for Gachapin & Mukku – Partnering with Vietnam’s POPS to Develop English-Learning Content for Children

Fuji Television Network, Inc. (hereafter “Fuji Television”) has announced the launch of a new global expansion project for its beloved characters, Gachapin & Mukku, in collaboration with POPS, a Vietnam-based leading digital entertainment company rapidly growing across Southeast Asia.

As the first phase of this initiative, the companies will produce a children’s short-form music series, “Gachapin & Mukku.” The series will begin streaming on the YouTube channel Babyccino TV on April 2, 2026, 4:30 PM (Pacific Time) / April 3, 2026, 8:30 AM (Japan Time), with new animated episodes released at a high frequency of three times per week.

■ A New Challenge Aiming for the World
Gachapin & Mukku, long beloved in Japan, are finally stepping onto the global stage. Centered around April 2 — Gachapin & Mukku Everyone’s Friends Day, a commemorative day established last year, the project will expand into a wide range of collaborations, including fashion, food, and art. This momentum will extend beyond Japan and drive further global expansion.

■ Education × Music × Characters for Global Markets
This new content fully leverages POPS strengths in hit-making expertise and production capabilities, combining music, education, and character-driven storytelling into a new form of edutainment.
In particular, the series targets children across a wide range of countries, including both English-speaking and non-English-speaking regions. It aims not only to support early language learning, but also to enhance cognitive development in a fun and engaging way through familiar and practical lessons.

■ Becoming  Globally Loved Characters
Beginning with this project, the companies will expand into multiple countries across the region, with the goal of transforming Gachapin & Mukku into a “globally loved IP.”
