Fuji TV TWO’s “Switch Girl” to air in France

Fuji Television’s original drama “Switch Girl” has been scheduled to begin broadcasting in France this July. The show, currently being broadcast on our communications satellite channel, Fuji TV TWO, is based on the manga “Switch Girl” written by author Natsumi Aida, about a girl who has two personalities. One is comprised of a beautiful school girl perfect in every way, and the other, a rather scruffy lazy girl with glasses.

Having sold over 5.6 million copies, the title was ranked number one in France’s female manga publication sale chart for the first semester of 2011. “Switch Girl” also has core fans in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Italy, and Germany.

Broadcasting in France will begin in July, under Viz Media Europe’s KAZE label on KZTV prior to VOD services on KZPLAY. DVD will be available in September with French subtitles. This will be the first time ever for a Japanese drama series to develop into a multi-broadcasting content overseas.

Mariya Nishiuchi, the starring actress as well as the production crew will attend the “Japan Expo 2012” planned to take place from July 5th to the 8th near Paris.
