Since 1974, in cooperation with the Japan Committee for UNICEF, the Fuji Network System has continued to support disadvantaged children throughout the world. In 2007, the contributions collected through this campaign surpassed 3.4 billion yen. This year, the FNS Charity Campaign will be supporting the Republic of Sierra Leone in Western Africa. Even after the civil war ended in 2002, 70% of the population is still living in poverty and the country’s child mortality rate is the highest in the world.
