Our new Thursday night Drama, “It’s All About the Looks” is collaborating with “Everyone’s Medal Project! Let’s make Olympic medals from an urban mine”
This comes after “The Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games” received support of the Sports agency to work with the new drama, “It’s All About the Looks”. They’ll work together in the “Medal Project” which commenced from April. The Organizing Committee will make about 5000 medals (gold, silver, and bronze) for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics using 100 percent recycled metals. These metals include those that have been extracted from old mobile phones and small household electrical goods collected from around the country. Through efficient usage of resources, we hope that this leads to a society with sustainable growth.
One of the directors for the “The Tokyo Organizing Committee” Ayumi Tanimoto (former Judo Olympian) commented in a following statement.
“I hope that many high school and university students will take part in the project and show their support for the competing athletes. We hope we can liven up the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games as much as possible”.
