How did you feel when you were cast in this series?
When I read the script, I felt a deep warmth in my heart. It was the kind of story that almost brought me to tears. My honest reaction was that I wanted to share that warmth with the audience.
What was your impression after reading the script?
It was such a captivating read—I finished it in no time. The story really made me reflect on many things. It explores the love between parents and children, and it reminded me that family love comes in many forms. It truly resonated with me. I found it both heartwarming and uplifting, a story that lightens your heart.
What are your thoughts on the character you’re playing?
The character I play, Tsubasa, has a strong sense of justice and a straightforward personality. She charges ahead with determination, following what she believes in. I really want to portray her powerful and energetic spirit with all I’ve got.
This is your first lead role in a primetime drama, and your first appearance and lead role in the iconic “Monday Night 9PM” broadcast slot?
The slot has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve enjoyed so many of its dramas since I was little, so being part of it now feels like a dream—I still can’t quite believe it. Since this is a drama time slot that’s brought me so much joy over the years, I want to give it my all and deliver that same joy and emotion to everyone watching.
What does this drama mean to you?
I’m truly honored to be standing on this iconic Monday night stage. I’ll do my very best, working closely with the amazing cast and crew, to make this a truly special production.
