GACKT Makes His Fuji TV Drama Debut—His First-Ever Monday 9PM Lead Role! Playing a one-of-a-kind protagonist who excels as both a brilliant lawyer and a first-class architect, he stars in this exhilarating legal drama where fabricated “lies” become the ultimate weapon to uncover the truth! A dangerously charismatic new dark hero is here!

This completely original legal entertainment series follows a brilliant lawyer known as a genius fabricator, who uses “lies” as his weapon and stops at nothing to uncover the truth to save his clients. With the belief that if justice is crushed by “lies,” then he’ll use it to make justice win.

In today’s world, where online information and media narratives can easily turn someone into a villain overnight, what happens when an innocent person is suddenly falsely accused? What if society brands you guilty before the truth can even be heard?

A hero is someone who refuses to be swayed by public opinion, sees the true nature of their client, stands by them, and fights to prove their innocence.

In the story, the protagonist, Naoto Uramawashi refuses to believe any public judgment until he has seen the truth with his own eyes. Facing immense powers willing to fabricate anything to escape accountability, he fights back with brilliantly orchestrated fabrications of his own...?! Using lies to reclaim a truth distorted by lies.

Q: What was your impression after reading the script?

My strongest impression was that it really felt like Fuji TV’s Monday Night 9 PM drama. I thought the script for the first episode had a great sense of momentum and progression.

Q: What is your impression of the character you play?

Naoto Uramawashi is someone who isn't particularly interested in labels or categories. My impression is that he's a difficult person to read—a mysterious character whose true thoughts are hard to grasp.

Q: How would you like to shape this drama together with the cast and staff?

There is quite a lot of dialogue, so I think the drama will become very engaging if the exchanges between the characters flow with good rhythm and tempo. I want to place great importance on that sense of pace and create a series that keeps viewers excited and on the edge of their seats.

Q: Lastly, please share a message for viewers and fans looking forward to the broadcast.

This is a drama unlike anything people have seen before, so I think it's going to be a very entertaining series. After all, there aren't many lawyers like this one (laughs). I believe we'll be able to deliver something truly fresh and new. We'll do our best, so I hope everyone will look forward to it.
