Musical Amélie

Mayu Watanabe (Former member of idol group AKB48) plays the lead role in this highly anticipated new musical in Japan.

The story’s heroine 'Amélie,’ has difficulties communicating with others, but, her imaginative ability is undoubtedly something worthy of appraisal. Her imaginary world is her favorite playground. Still working at a cafe in Montemartre at the age of 22, she enjoys carefully observing the people around her, whilst letting her imagination run free. However, one day, she realizes the happiness that she can experience whilst making other people happy. But, being completely devoted to people around her, she is in no way interested in her own happiness, until eventually meeting a mysterious young guy who she starts to fall for.
